Dear residents of LYNDON,
These are the crime updates in the Lyndon area between of 20th of SEPTEMBER 2026 and 28th of SEPTEMBER 2026.
Vehicle crime
Redfern Close- Unknown suspects have gained access to a vehicle via unknown means and have stolen the V5C logbooks from within.
Ulleries Road- Unknown suspects have stolen A FORD RANGER via unknown means.
Marcot Road- Unknown suspects have gained access to a vehicle via unknown means and have stolen a laptop from within.
Burford Close- Unknown suspects have stolen A FORD KUGA via unknown means.
Daylesford Road- Unknown suspects have gained access to a vehicle via unknown means and have stolen some items from within.
Melton Avenue-Unknown suspects have stolen a HONDA CIVIC via unknown means.
On another note
On Sunday we conducted an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) targeted operation in support of a wider force operation. Multiple pursuits were conducted where vehicles failed to stop and were pursued, a vehicle was seized for no insurance, and intelligence led to cannabis being seized and the suspect being reported for this offence. Following recent incidents, intelligence, and concerns raised by LEOS residents, we proactively patrolled areas such as Lode Lane Hobs Moat Road and surrounding roads, Damson Parkway, Coventry Road, and Gospel Lane. This was a very successful operation following community concerns using targeted ANPR systems and high visibility patrols. Please continue to feedback to local officers your concerns which help inform our activities going forward.
A female was arrested on our area after being shown as WANTED for shop theft. She was taken into custody to be presented before the courts. She has also been served a Community Protection Notice to NOT ENTER a specified area within the LEOS patch. Should she enter this area going forward, she will be arrested. We will not tolerate offending on our patch, including prolific shoplifting offenders.
We have been able to issue a further Community Protection Notice to a related, and prolific offender targeting businesses in the area. This leaves us is a position where we can arrest some of our most challenging offenders on sight if they breach the Community Protection Notice.
The team were invited to give a talk at Solihull School this past week to those students due to leave for university in the coming year. We address issues that were highlighted as being of concern of leavers and parents.
Targeted patrols for ASB hotspots, drugs hotspots, burglary and vehicle crime have been also conducted.
Please make sure your vehicles are locked and secured, and no valuables are left in the vehicle!
