On Thursday 24th of September 2026 officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the 103rd Flintham Show. Engaging with the public at rural events is used to both communicate messages to communities and find out if people are experiencing problems. 

People young and old enjoyed a tour of one of the forces Public Order Support vans and uniform  , kit and equipment displays.

On Friday 25th of September 2026 officers seized an electric sooter in East Leake where it was being used without any form of insurance, licence or being type approved for use on public highways. The use of none road legal electric vehicles in public place and on the highway is one of the top complaints.

On Sunday 27th of September 2026 response officers assisted by Leicestershire Police recovered a vehicle stolen in a burglary from East Leake, the vehicle was tracked to Leicestershire due to the owner fitting the vehicle with a tracking device. The key to preventing theft and recovering property is to:-

Deter with obvious measures such as lighting, high quality locks, door, windows and physical security devices. 

Prevent with visible security, electronic immobilisers and alarms.

Recover property with trackers, property marking and recording serial numbers so they can be identified if found.

Two suspects were arrested by Leicestershire Police officer and interviewed by Nottinghamshire detectives. The two suspects have been bailed with conditions while further enquiries are made.

Rushcliffe officers are continuing to deal with calls from the public and problem management plans around on-going issues including nuisance car cruising, use of unlicenced mechanically propelled vehicles and other anti-social behaviour.
