Elmdon Crime Updates 20/09/2026-28/09/2026

Good Morning Elmdon Residents,

It's been yet another busy set with a number of events attended. I started this week by working with colleagues in DUDLEY on OP ADVANCE targeting those who seek to harm our communities and engage in criminal activity. One in custody on recall to prison! We also attended an event at Elmdon Church which had a fantastic turnout where lots of important neighbourhood concerns were raised whilst working alongside local partners. Thank you to The Rev'd Bekah Clark for hosting this event and allowing myself and the local PCSO to attend.

Neighbourhood Crime Updates:

Overnight between the 22nd and 23rd of September, there was a theft from motor vehicle on HOBS MOAT ROAD. The unknown suspect(s) have attended the locked and secured car and have removed the number plates from the vehicle.

Good News:

A female was arrested on our area after being shown as WANTED for shop theft. She was taken into custody to be presented before the courts yesterday. She has also been served a Community Protection Notice to NOT ENTER a specified area within the LEOS patch. Should she enter this area going forward, she will be arrested. We will not tolerate offending on our patch, including prolific shoplifting offenders.

On Sunday we conducted an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) targeted operation in support of a wider force operation. Multiple pursuits were conducted where vehicles failed to stop and were pursued, a vehicle was seized for no insurance, and intelligence led to cannabis being seized and the suspect being reported for this offence. Following recent incidents, intelligence, and concerns raised by LEOS residents, we proactively patrolled areas such as Lode Lane, Damson Parkway, Coventry Road, and Gospel Lane. This was a very successful operation following community concerns using targeted ANPR systems and high visibility patrols. Please continue to feedback to local officers your concerns which help inform our activities going forward.

We have been able to issue a further CPN to a related, and prolific offender targeting businesses in the area. This leaves us is a position where we can arrest some of our most challenging offenders on sight.

The team were invited to give a talk at Solihull School this past week to those students due to leave for university in the coming year. We address issues that were highlighted as being of concern of leavers and parents alike and were happy to help and grateful for the invite. The team were also welcome to host a Beat Surgery at Elmdon Church this past weekend. We are very grateful for all those who attended and took the opportunity to discuss any concerns they had about the local area.
