Community Alert: Theft of Motor Vehicles in Stretford

Good afternoon, 

We would like to make residents aware that over the weekend, three thefts of motor vehicles were reported locally, with one vehicle stolen from St Andrews Road and two vehicles stolen from Wellington Street, Stretford. 

These locations are within close proximity of each other and, at this time, the incidents appear to be opportunistic in nature.

We are asking residents to remain vigilant and take a few simple steps to help reduce the risk of vehicle crime:

🔒 Always lock your vehicle, even if leaving it unattended for a short time.
🔑 Keep keys away from doors, windows, and letterboxes, and consider using a signal-blocking pouch for keyless vehicles.
📹 Check that any home CCTV, doorbell cameras, or vehicle dashcams are working correctly.
🚗 Remove valuables and any items that may attract thieves from your vehicle.
👀 Report any suspicious behaviour around parked vehicles to police.
