Man charged following attempted pedal cycle thefts

A man has been charged in connection with attempted pedal cycle thefts and criminal damage in Norwich.

Police were called to Millennium Plain on 11 August 2026 just before 1pm following reports that an intoxicated man was attempting to steal pedal cycles from the area.

A man in his 40s was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of criminal damage and theft of a pedal cycle and was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He was further arrested on Friday 25 September on suspicion of breaching bail conditions.

Kurt Salmon, 44, of Wycliff Road, Norwich, has been charged with three counts of attempted theft of a pedal cycle, theft from another person, and criminal damage.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on 30 October 2026.
