Fire - Ladbroke Grove

We wanted to provide residents with an update following the emergency services response in Ladbroke Grove this morning.

At approximately 0812 hours on Monday 28th September, police were notified of a fire in close proximity to Ladbroke Grove Underground Station. Police, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

While emergency services dealt with the incident, Ladbroke Grove was temporarily closed between Lancaster Road and Cambridge Gardens for around 90 minutes to vehicle traffic. This caused disruption to local bus services and a number of residents from nearby properties were temporarily displaced as a precaution.

Ladbroke Grove Underground Station was also briefly closed, reopening around 15 minutes after police arrived on scene. Train services continued to operate throughout.

The fire was located in the mews to the rear of 145 Ladbroke Grove and was extinguished by the London Fire Brigade.

Following police investigation, the fire is not believed to have been started deliberately. 

The affected roads have now fully reopened.

We appreciate that an incident involving a significant emergency services presence can be concerning for the local community.
