🚔 Plain Clothes Operation Leads to Drug Supply Arrest in Skipton 🚔 On Saturday 26 September, officers from the Craven Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by Special Constables 2013 Cornforth and 2056 Mansell, conducted a plain clothes operation in Skipton town centre. Officers were deployed in and around local pubs and the town centre as part of ongoing efforts to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. At approximately 10pm, officers witnessed an exchange between two males near Gallows Bridge, Skipton, which prompted immediate intervention. With the assistance of Band 2 Response officers, both males were swiftly detained. A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and remains under investigation. During the operation, a further two men in their 20s were found in possession of Class B drugs and were each dealt with by way of a Community Resolution. PC 1450 Sampson, from the Craven Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Drug dealing is not accepted in our community. We will continue to carry out both high-visibility and plain clothes patrols to identify offenders, disrupt criminality, and keep Skipton a safe place to live, work and visit." ✅ One arrested for suspected drug supply If you have information about drug dealing or criminal activity in your area, please report it to North Yorkshire Police via 101 or our website.
