NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING AND PREVENTION UPDATE. Monthly Community Update from Sgt Andrew Williams – September 2026 Hello All I hope this message finds you well. As we move through September, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. 🔍 Local Priorities Our current focus areas remains the same as last month, however due to recent issues in Haverfordwest with anti-social use of cars this has now been added. The priorities include: Youth Anti-Social Behaviour in Haverfordwest and Fishguard. Shoplifting in Haverfordwest and Fishguard. Illegal use of E-Scooters and scrambler bikes, but also anti-social use of cars.We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. 🤝 Partnership Working We’ve been working closely with: Pembrokeshire County Council's Housing Team, Noise Pollution Teams, Public Realm Team and Licensing as we look tackle community issues, including Anti-Social Behaviour in PCC housing and community areas, and also retail crime in the areas. Also we hold Event Safety Advisory Group Meetings to discuss community and Private sector events.Pembrokeshire's Youth Services and Youth Justice Team - We continue to work with our partners in Youth Services/Youth Justice and Social Services to tackle Youth Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour, continuing to refer many youths through the local prevention pathways to hopefully get them on the right path. We hold regular meetings with partners as this is a core issue for us currently and we are always looking at ways to improve interventions and diversionary opportunities to deflect these youths from crime and ASB. ATEB/Wales and West Housing Associations - We continue to engage with both social housing providers discussing neighbourhood issues and disputes, looking at courses of action including the use of ASB/Tools and Powers to keep communities safe and engaged in the work that we do, so they hopefully visibly see and feel the difference in their communities. Working closely with our Roads Policing Unit to tackle anti social and dangerous driving.Engaging with GO SAFE to look at re-igniting commnity speed watch. Also please follow our social media page on Facebook. 📅 Important Dates 10th-17th – Hate Crime Awareness Week - Several Engagements within the local community planned 🎉 Upcoming Events 4th November - Plans for a Public Engagement event at Haverfordwest Police Station to discuss different dept roles and careers within the police. OP Bang - Gearing up for Halloween on Saturday the 31st of October and Bonfire Night on Thursday the 5th of November. We’d love to see you there—these events are a great way to connect and share ideas. 🗞️ Round-Up from Various Wards Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our patch: Several Adults arrested and prosecuted for shoplifting offencesSeveral Youths dealt with for ASB and crime matters and referred to Youth Justice TeamPatrols of Town Centre and New Transport InterchangeSteal and Be Banned Scheme continues to be developed in readiness for meetings.Retail theft gang from out of force area prosectued and imprisoned for theft of tens of thousand of pounds worth of goods nationally, down to the great work of the Haverfordwest Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team. The Division has taken 150k of cocaine off the street following the arrest of an individual for robbery. 🤝🏼 Thank you for working with us to keep Haverfordwest, Fishguard, St,Davids and the other communities on our section, safe and informed.
