We want to share the latest updates on our Belgrave Neighbourhood Policing priorities. Our team has reviewed recent reports and identified key areas where we are focusing our efforts to keep our community safe.

PRIORITY NE10 – Crime: Burglary & Vehicle Offences

We have seen an increase in burglary and vehicle crime.

Our Actions • High-visibility patrols in residential streets and car parks
• Targeted engagement with residents and vehicle owners
• Crime prevention advice: • Secure homes
• Remove valuables from vehicles
• Use steering locks
• Intelligence gathering and sharing with CID
• Use of powers (dispersal orders and CPNs for persistent offenders)
• Partnership working with the council, CCTV and Neighbourhood Watch
• Community updates to raise awareness
• Proactive checks on suspicious vehicles and offenders

PRIORITY NE10 – Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

• Street Drinking
• Drug Dealing

Our Actions • High-visibility patrols to deter ASB and drug activity
• Engagement and education with individuals and groups
• Enforcement powers under ASB legislation
• Partnership working to support vulnerable individuals
• Intelligence gathering to identify repeat offenders
• Drug activity and cuckooing: • Increased vigilance
• Intelligence gathering for warrants
• Joint work with the Neighbourhood Priority Team
• Community reassurance through updates and visible policing
