Shaftesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team Shaftesbury Neighbourhood have had a fairly busy week Conducted patrols in connection with a wanted person, carrying out enquiries and maintaining a visible police presence within the community.Assisted response officers with a concern for welfare incident. The individual was located and received appropriate support, being conveyed to hospital by paramedics under the Right Care, Right Person approach.Assisted in searches for a high-risk missing person, supporting efforts to locate and safeguard the individual.PC Chris completed two response shifts, dealing with a range of incidentsPCSO SU and PC Chris were invited by the Mayor to welcome the High Sheriff of Dorset during her charity walk stop in Shaftesbury, providing an opportunity to engage with community representatives and support a local charitable initiative.Assisted with an urgent safeguarding matter involving a victim of abuse, ensuring appropriate measures were put in place to protect and support the individual.Liaised with housing providers and partner support agencies to help safeguard and support vulnerable residents within the community.Worked jointly with Gillingham and Sturminster Newton Neighbourhood Policing Teams, alongside the Roads Policing Unit, to address anti-social behaviour concerns. As a result, two drivers were issued Section 59 warnings, and their vehicles were subsequently seized.Continued to respond proactively to reports of a motorcycle being used in an anti-social manner. The vehicle was sighted during patrols, and efforts remain ongoing to identify and deal with those responsible. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable week.
