As the nights draw in, please take a few simple steps to keep your home secure.

With darker evenings providing more cover for opportunist thieves, now is a good time to review your home security and daily routines.

Lock all doors and windows, even when you`re at home.

Keep keys, handbags and valuables out of sight and away from doors and windows.

Use timer switches on lights when you`re out to make sure your home appears occupied.

Ensure sheds, garages and side gates are secure, particularly if they contain bikes, tools of other valuable items.

Consider install security lighting, CCTV or a video doorbell if possible.

Report any suspicious activity!

By taking a few simple precautions, you can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime and keep your property safe.
