Following feedback from residents, your local Neighbourhood Officers have been out in Ashton upon Mersey carrying out speed enforcement activity and monitoring traffic speeds in areas of concern.

We understand that speeding is a significant concern for many members of our community. Excessive speed puts pedestrians, cyclists, passengers and other road users at risk, and we will continue to take action against those who choose to drive irresponsibly and endanger others.

Road safety remains a priority, and we will continue to conduct both high-visibility and targeted enforcement operations across the area based on community feedback and intelligence.

🚸 Take extra care near schools, pedestrian crossings and residential areas where vulnerable road users may be present.
