RIDE TO THE WALL EVENT | EXPECT DELAYS |

#RideToTheWall | Residents and motorists are advised that there may be some temporary traffic delays in Rugeley on Saturday (3rd October) morning as hundreds of motorcyclists take part in the annual Ride to the Wall (RTTW) event.
Riders are expected to set off from Wolseley Bridge Garden Centre at approximately 9:25am, travelling along the A51 before entering Rugeley via Wolseley Road, then along Western Springs Road and onto Horse Fair at around 9:33am, before continuing along Main Road and out of the town.
Ride to the Wall is a unique annual motorcycling event that sees thousands of bikers from across the country come together to pay their respects to the service personnel who have lost their lives in conflict since World War II. The ride culminates at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire and serves as a moving tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
If you're nearby, it's certainly a sight to behold, with hundreds of motorcycles passing through Rugeley as part of this well-supported event.
Please plan your journeys accordingly, allow a little extra time if travelling in the area, and if you do stop to watch, please do so safely and avoid standing in the road.
Thank you for your patience and support, and we wish all those taking part a safe journey.
