SPEEDING CONCERNS ON BORWICK LANE, WARTON.

The Road Safety Partnership and Lancashire Talking surveys have shown concerns regarding vehicles speeding along BORWICK LANE in WARTON. The main concers are in the 20MPH zone from MAIN STREET and just beyond the junction of WELL LANE.

You may have noticed a police vehicle parked on the road today between 14:30 and 15:30pm with an officer stood by the side of it in a high visibility jacket. Unfortunately 15 people didn't notice this and drove through this section of road well above the speed limit.

Most drivers adhered to the speed limit, or were only slightly above the 20MPH, but 15 people ranged from 26MPH to one individual who thought it was OK to do 35 MPH.

These 15 motorists will be hearing from the police in the near future, but thanks to everyon else who past us at a safe speed.

Speeding through rural villages remains one of our biggest complaints and the speed limits are set in order to keep pedestrians and road users as safe as possible, so please keep an eye on your speed.
