Stop! Think Money Laundering #FraudFree2026

Good afternoon,

Are you a “tradie” or do you know someone who is?  Perhaps your boss has told you they can’t access their bank account - have you agreed to receive bank transfers/cheques etc from customers?   Perhaps in return for a small fee? 

At best you may be breaching the terms and conditions with your bank.  At worst, if the money has come from any kind of criminal activity including doorstep crime or bogus traders etc, you could be laundering money (transferring criminal property) a serious offence attracting up to 14 years custodial sentence on conviction. 

Or, perhaps the people you/they work with are deliberately targeting elderly or vulnerable people, misleading them about work that needs doing or charging inflated prices.
