OP LOCKSTREAM – Gravesham NPT Activity

On Monday 21st September, as part of OP LOCKSTREAM, officers from Gravesham Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) worked alongside Trading Standards to conduct a series of visits to retail premises across the Gravesham town centre. The operation focused on identifying and disrupting the sale of illegal tobacco products, illegal cigarettes and non-compliant vapes.

Throughout the day, a number of shops were visited and thoroughly checked. The joint op resulted in significant enforcement activity, with quantities of illegal tobacco products and snuff being located and seized. These products undermine legitimate businesses and pose potential health risks to the local community due to the lack of regulation.

The information and intelligence gathered during the day will assist both Kent Police and Trading Standards in targeting those involved in the sale and distribution of illegal tobacco and vaping products within the district.
