Sturminster Newton NPT Weekly Update

This week, the Neighbourhood Policing Team has been out and about across the area, engaging with residents and addressing local concerns.

We held community contact points in Stalbridge and Marnhull, providing opportunities for members of the public to speak with officers, raise concerns, and receive crime prevention advice.

Officers also visited the Day Centre at Stour Connect in Sturminster Newton, spending time with attendees and strengthening links within the local community.

Targeted anti-social behaviour patrols were carried out in both Sturminster Newton and Marnhull to provide reassurance and address reported issues.

We have continued our enquiries into recent burglary offences, following up lines of investigation and gathering information to support ongoing investigations.

In addition, officers were made aware of a shoplifting in progress. A prompt response resulted in the recovery of the stolen items, which were subsequently returned to the store with help from Blandford NPT .
