Two Prolific Offenders Brought Before the Courts
As part of ongoing efforts to tackle retail crime and support local businesses, two prolific shoplifting offenders have recently been charged and remanded in custody. On 8 September, an offender was charged with seven shoplifting offences, six of which related to incidents at Waitrose, Whetstone. The offender was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced later this year. More recently, on 18 September 2026, another prolific offender was arrested and charged with 27 shoplifting offences. They were remanded in custody and will appear at the Crown Court for sentencing. These results demonstrate our continued commitment to targeting prolific offenders, reducing retail crime, and protecting businesses within our communities. | ||
