Good morning, 

Operation Skybridge are continuing their work in Selly Oak. 

Working pro-actively, in partnership with the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, we continue to seek out those intent on causing harm to your community. 

Utilising search powers, as well as acting on intelligence, the team have made over 30 arrests for a range of offences from theft of motor vehicle to possession with intent to supply class A drugs. 

The team have also transferred various pieces of information into 44 intelligence reports, disseminated across West Midlands Police. 

But the effort continues. We understand there is work to be done and that for every offence committed, their is a victim that is impacted. We will continue to draw on a range of tactics to bring offenders to justice. 

This week will see the arrival of new students to the area. We are asking anyone with information relating to Burglary, Robbery, Vehicle or Drug Crime to report it to us. To report something urgently - always dial 999 in an emergency. 

Finally, with the dark nights starting to draw it, please ensure you remove all valuables from vehicles and ensure doors and windows on your car and home are locked. Where possible, utilise steering locks, CCTV, Video doorbells and security lights.
