Live Facial Recognition Operation

Local neighbourhood policing teams conducted a Live Facial Recognition (LFR) operation outside Clapham Junction station on Friday 4th September 2026. The system was deployed with a watchlist consisting of individuals wanted for offences and those subject to court-imposed conditions.

Previous deployments of LFR in Clapham Junction have proven highly effective.

Officers successfully arrested six suspects.

These operations help us locate wanted offenders quickly and ensure individuals subject to restrictions are complying with the conditions set by the courts. We will continue to use a range of policing tactics to keep Battersea safe.
