⚠️ Parcel Theft Prevention Advice ⚠️ We have received reports of parcels delivered by Amazon, Evri and other courier services being stolen shortly after delivery. As we approach busier delivery periods, we would like to remind residents to remain vigilant and take simple steps to help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of parcel theft: 📦 Track your deliveries where possible and arrange for someone you trust to collect the parcel if you are not at home. 📹 Consider installing or utilising CCTV, video doorbells, or home security cameras, which can help deter offenders and assist with identifying those responsible if an incident occurs. 🏡 Use a designated safe place for parcels to be left when placing orders. Ensure the location is out of sight from public view and secure where possible. 👥 Ask a neighbour, friend, or family member to accept deliveries on your behalf if you know you will be away. 🚨 Report suspicious activity in your area, particularly individuals seen checking doorsteps or removing parcels that do not belong to them. If you witness a theft in progress, or have information that may assist an investigation, please report it to Devon & Cornwall Police via our website or by calling 101. Always call 999 in an emergency or if a crime is taking place at that moment. Together, we can help protect our neighbourhoods and prevent opportunistic thieves from targeting our communities. #ParcelTheft #CommunitySafety #NeighbourhoodPolicing #StayVigilant #Amazon #Evri #PlymouthPolice | ||
