Speed Enforcement in Tilmanstone as Part of Operation Spotlight |
||
|
As part of the ongoing Op Spotlight campaign, officers from the Roads Policing Unit carried out speed enforcement checks in Tilmanstone using TruCAM speed detection technology.
During the operation, several vehicles were identified travelling above the speed limit, with the highest speed recorded reaching a staggering 131mph.
Excessive speed significantly increases the likelihood of serious collisions and reduces the time drivers have to react to hazards. Speed limits are in place to protect all road users, including drivers, passengers, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians.
Road safety remains a priority for Kent Police. Through enforcement, education and engagement, we are committed to reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on Kent's roads. Operations such as this are designed to encourage safer driving habits and help keep our communities safe.
We would like to thank local residents for their ongoing support and encourage anyone with concerns about speeding in their area to continue reporting them to us.
Please remember: Speed limits are not targets, they are limits. Slow down, stay safe, and help make Kent's roads safer for everyone.
