Personal Safety - follow up advice

Dear Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator,

Did you see the recent Cheshire Alert message from your Crime Prevention Officer?

The alert included lots of advice about personal safety, here’s a quick reminder:

Plan your journey and how you’ll get home

Keep your phone charged and take essentials

Share your plans with someone you trust

Stick to well-lit, busy areas and stay aware

Keep valuables secure and out of sight

Use licensed taxis or trusted apps only

Trust your instincts—if something feels wrong, leave

For young people: practise journeys, travel with friends where possible, avoid distractions, and use safe crossings.

👉 Remember: Being aware, prepared, and confident can help keep you safe.
