A motorcyclist has sustained serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Bungay.
Police were called to the B1062 Flixton Road by the Fire Service just before 3:45pm yesterday, Thursday 17 September, following reports of a three-vehicle collision involving an HGV, a Volvo box van and a Yamaha motorcycle near the dairy farm.
Police, Suffolk Fire and Rescue, the East of England Ambulance Service and air ambulance were all in attendance to the incident.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 20s, was airlifted to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital having sustained potentially life-threatening injuries.
Flixton Road was closed in both directions for collision investigation work to take place, reopening at approximately 2:45am today, Friday 18 September.
Officers are appealing for witnesses, including any other motorists driving in the area around the time of the collision with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, who are asked to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
