🚨 SMART ALERT | PARK SAFELY AROUND SCHOOLS 🚨

With schools now back in full swing, we are reminding all motorists to park responsibly and legally when dropping off or collecting children.

Please be mindful that inconsiderate or dangerous parking can put children, parents and other road users at risk.

❌ Do not park:

On zig-zag markings outside schools.

On double or single yellow lines during restricted times.

Across or opposite driveways, causing obstruction.

On pavements, forcing pedestrians into the road.

In a manner that blocks visibility for children crossing.

In designated disabled bays without displaying a valid Blue Badge.

⚠️ Offences and restrictions may include:

Obstruction of the highway.

Parking on school entrance markings.

Causing unnecessary danger to other road users.

Waiting restrictions enforced by local authorities.

Fixed Penalty Notices or other enforcement action where offences are identified.

✅ Please allow extra time for your journey and consider parking a little further away and walking the final part of your trip where it is safe to do so.

👮 Local officers will continue to patrol school areas and work with partners to address parking concerns. Your cooperation helps keep our children safe and ensures everyone can travel to and from school safely.
