Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Allerby Green on Thursday 17th September between 00:58hrs and 01:02hrs, the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry.

Suspect/s have used a tool to break the locks on the back patio doors and gained entry, suspects have been disturbed and left

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it  Thursday 17th September between 00:58hrs and 01:02hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers.

Whilst we do not wish to alarm residents, it is always worthwhile reviewing your home security and reporting anything that seems suspicious. If you have any information regarding this or any other burglary, please contact us on 101.
