HGV Patrol in Ellistown Following Local Concerns

Following concerns raised by members of our community, the issue of HGVs breaching the weight restriction in Ellistown remains one of our local beat priorities. As a result, officers carried out a dedicated patrol in the area this evening.

During the operation, we spoke with the drivers of three HGVs. One driver was found to be breaching the weight restriction without a valid exemption and was subsequently issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR).

You may also see the HGVs pictured below in the area this evening. We spoke with their drivers and can confirm they are exempt from the restriction as they are carrying out drainage clearance works on behalf of the Council.
