Male on high-powered electric bicycle arrested within the West Hill Ward.

Dear Residents,

On Monday 14th September 2026 at 4:00pm, officers from Putney Safer Neighbourhood Teams were carrying out plain clothes patrols within the West Hill ward in response to numerous reports of high-powered electric bikes that have been causing ASB issues in the Putney and Wandsworth area. 

These high-powered electric bikes are believed to be involved in criminal activities.

Utilising intelligence provided by the local community, officers apprehended a suspect who was riding a high-powered electric bike in a dangerous manner. The suspect was detained, arrested and charged for various offences, including having possession of an offensive weapon (“Zombie” knife), drugs and driving offences. The males electric bicycle was seized.
