Good afternoon Resident
We are aware of reports regarding motorcycles being ridden on the fields and understand the concerns about noise nuisance and damage being caused to the land.
Officers and PCSOs patrol the area on a regular basis, including on most days. During these patrols, we have not witnessed any motorcycles on the fields and, when engaging with members of the public, no concerns have been raised directly to us at those times.
In response to the reports received, checks have been carried out of the outer gates and perimeter fencing surrounding the fields. At present, we have been unable to identify how the motorcycles are gaining access and remain uncertain as to their entry point. If anyone has information regarding where the riders are entering the fields, please report this to us as it would assist greatly in addressing the issue.
Where illegal use of land or anti-social behaviour is identified, appropriate action will be considered. However, enforcement action is dependent upon identifying those responsible and obtaining sufficient evidence of any offences.
There is currently no information to suggest that this activity is linked to any planning or development proposals for the area. The priority remains to deter anti-social behaviour, identify those responsible, and work with relevant partners to address any access issues where possible.
We will continue to monitor the location and encourage anyone witnessing the activity to report it as soon as possible, providing details such as dates, times, descriptions of riders or vehicles, photographs or video footage where safe to obtain, and any information regarding points of access. Such information can be invaluable in helping us take effective action.
