Community Safety Alert - Codsall

We have been made aware of two potentially linked incidents in Codsall, involving a male and female approaching members of the public.

In both cases, a male, described as having a speech impediment, asked for directions to schools in the Clare Gate area. In one incident, the female remained in a vehicle while the male spoke to the victim. In the second incident, the male and female were working together.

It appears that during these interactions, either the male or female may have reached into the victim's pocket and, in one case, removed a wallet without the victim's knowledge.

Please remain vigilant and take care to keep wallets, purses, mobile phones and other valuables secure when approached by unknown individuals.

Officers are currently working to identify the individuals involved. If you have experienced a similar incident, witnessed anything suspicious, or have relevant information, please report it to Staffordshire Police.
