Cold Callers

Good afternoon,

This is a polite reminder to not employ anyone who has approached your house offering to do some work for you. We have had a report of people knocking on doors asking/ telling them that their house needs work and offering to do the work. 

Please remember that a Reputable business would not approach your house to ask for work. The cold callers will look for key safe on show as this may mean and elderly person is in the address. They will also look for CCTV around the house and more likely going to target people who do not have them. 

If you do need some work done then please ask friends/neighbours if they could recommend someone or search the internet but make sure the company has reviews/pictures of the work. 

If you decide to go with a company, please make sure there is a written contract with a set amount and read the small print. 

Pay with credit card where possible, then you will have a trace if something goes wrong.
