Two arrested following Bushfield attack

Dear Resident,

We wanted to update you following an incident in Bushfield, Orton Goldhay, yesterday (14 September).

At about 4pm we were called with reports of a 14-year-old boy with a knife injury. Officers and ambulance attended and the victim was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for treatment on serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

Two 14-year-old boys from Peterborough have been arrested in connection - one on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife and theft. He remains in custody. The other was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assisting an offender. He has been released on bail to return on 14 December.

There will be an additional policing presence in the area today.
