Mini Quad Bikes in Parks |
Police have been made aware of children's mini quad bikes, including both petrol-powered (50cc) and electric models, being ridden parks. Within Pymmes Park N18. While these vehicles may be great fun, public parks are shared spaces used by families, young children, dog walkers, cyclists, and other members of the community. Riding quad bikes in these areas can create a risk of injury to both riders and other park users, as well as causing nuisance through noise and damage to grassed areas and pathways. Mini quad bikes are generally intended for use on private land with the permission of the landowner and are not suitable for use in public parks, playgrounds, footpaths, or other public open spaces. We would ask parents, guardians, and riders to consider the safety of others and ensure these vehicles are only used in appropriate locations. By doing so, we can help keep our parks safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our community a safe place to live, work, and visit.
