Vehicle safety update

We have recently received reports of vehicle crime in the local area, including theft from vehicles and attempted thefts. We understand the concern this can cause and would like to remind residents to take a few simple steps to help protect their property.

✅ Always lock your vehicle, even when parked outside your home.
✅ Remove all valuables from view, including bags, mobile phones, tools and loose change.
✅ Ensure windows and sunroofs are fully closed.
✅ Consider using additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, alarms or tracking devices.
✅ If you own a keyless vehicle, store keys away from doors and windows and consider using a signal-blocking pouch.

Our officers will continue to carry out patrols in affected areas and work with partners to identify offenders. We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
