🚔 Speedwatch Update - Seal & Surrounding Areas 🚔

Good afternoon, Resident,

On Monday 14 September, PC Costin from the Beat Team and PC Wright from the Speedwatch Engagement and Enforcement Team conducted Speedwatch at two locations within the area.

📍 Stone Street
A Speedwatch session was carried out, with no vehicles recorded exceeding the speed limit. Thank you to all drivers for travelling safely and responsibly.

📍 High Street, Seal
During the session, one vehicle was observed travelling at 40mph in the speed-restricted area. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR).

Each Speedwatch session typically lasts between 40 and 60 minutes per location and forms part of our ongoing efforts to improve road safety and address community concerns.

I am aware of concerns regarding speeding on Bradbourne Vale Road and Tonbridge Road, which are being considered as potential future locations. As previously advised, all Speedwatch sites must first be assessed to ensure it is safe to conduct enforcement activity, taking into account factors such as road layout, visibility, and the safe stopping of vehicles.

Further Speedwatch sessions will continue to be conducted in support of the local What Matters Most priorities for the area.
