South Wigston Update from PCSO Dom |
||
|
This week has been steady, yet productive for me in South Wigston. Less calls is always a good thing, but we never take our foot off the gas. I have: Collected evidence relating to shop theft - thankfully seeing the offender back behind bars already. Keep an eye on our facebook for updates. Been out on foot around the Fairfield Estate engaging with residents. I walk as much as possible on the beat as it is the best way to engage with the community and stay visible! Conducted enquiries about a public order incident, investigation ongoing Met with Youth Justice to discuss ongoing issues with two youths and establish plan to limit re-offending. I hope we will reach a result soon and reports of ASB will again start to decline Met with our Volunteers In Policing team to plan student visits to police facilities and discover potential career opportunities Attended a report of a stolen motorcycle on a neighbouring beat - motorcycle recovered, suspects outstanding Attended several emergency incidents around suspicious persons and/or vehicles, thankfully nothing of concern. One report of a person in a garden with a torch, on scene in minutes to find a maintenance worker with permission to be there - panic over! Attended the South Wigston Junior Builders Club to meet the kids and talk about what the police do. A fantastic opportunity - keep an eye on the window displays in the Methodist Church to see what the group have been up to -Chat with your local officer - Salvation Army, Ladysmith Road
