Back to School 2026 Week!

Good Afternoon,

Last week saw the return of Canterbury BID’s super-popular ‘Back to School 2026’ event! The vibrant programme of free activities for 11–18 year olds offered a fantastic mix of entertainment, creativity, and sports designed to engage young people and bring energy to the city centre.

Highlights from the week included:
Krav Maga: Self-defence move sessions (Mon–Thurs)
Kent Cricket: Digital and real-life cricket activities (Wed–Thurs)
The Gaming Bus: Immersive gaming experiences (Wed–Fri)
Soccerena: Fun football matches (Wed–Fri)
Active Life: Fast-paced Pickleball matches

Working closely alongside Canterbury BID, we are pleased to report that the event was highly successful and engaging. The BID is currently collating feedback from residents to help plan future events and address any highlighted issues.

Crucially, Kent Police did not receive any reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) during the event hours. This excellent result highlights the superb efforts and engagement of our partners, event organisers, and the young people who took part.
