Dear Local Residents,

Local Policing Update

Your Safer Neighbourhood Team is pleased to report that no motor vehicle crime was recorded between 10th September and 14th September 2026.

We are also pleased to confirm that no burglaries were reported between 11th September and 14th September 2026.

There was, however, one attempted burglary at a business/community premises on 11th September 2026 at Chase Farm Hospital. Four suspects entered the Mental Health Office area without permission before leaving the premises. Police enquiries are ongoing.

We would like to thank local residents, businesses and partner agencies for their continued vigilance and support in helping to keep the area safe.

Crime Prevention Advice

Burglary Prevention

Ensure all doors and windows are locked and secure when leaving your property.

Install and maintain good-quality locks that meet British Standards.

Consider fitting CCTV, video doorbells or burglar alarms.

Use security lighting around entrances and vulnerable areas.

Keep valuable items out of sight from windows.

Business Security

Ensure staff challenge unknown persons in restricted areas.

Keep access-controlled doors secured at all times.

Regularly check CCTV systems are operational and recordings are retained.

Report suspicious behaviour, persons or vehicles immediately.

Reporting Crime

If a crime is in progress or there is an immediate danger, call 999.

For non-emergency matters, call 101 or report online via the Metropolitan Police website.
