Shoplifting? Not on our watch.

Greater Manchester Police’s City Centre Neighbourhood Team remains committed to tackling retail crime and reducing shoplifting, helping to support the businesses, staff and communities that keep our city centre thriving.

A recent day of proactive patrols proved that keeping a close eye on things really does pay off, with officers catching two seperate offenders in the act as they stole from local businesses. Swift action was taken, with both offenders being arrested.

Stock has been recovered by officers and returned to its stores. 

Both offenders were charged and remanded to court following an interview at police custody. 

This is all part of our ongoing commitment to making the city centre a safer place to work, shop and visit.
