Protest activity in the Tamworth area has ended today (Saturday 12 September).
A large-scale policing operation was put in place to keep people safe. Officers have worked to balance the rights of the protestors against the rights of those affected by it, which includes minimising the impact of disruption to local businesses, the community and the road network.
Officers will remain in the area this afternoon to provide visible reassurance.
We can confirm that no arrests have been made.
