Operation Fishing Launches in Tadcaster

Residents may hopefully notice an increased police presence in and around Tadcaster over the coming weeks as part of Operation Fishing, a targeted initiative established in response to a recent rise in reports of anti-social behaviour across the area.

North Yorkshire Police remains committed to tackling anti-social behaviour and addressing the issues that matter most to our communities. Operation Fishing has been developed to provide enhanced visibility, reassurance, and engagement within the areas most affected, while allowing officers to identify problems, gather intelligence, and take appropriate enforcement action where necessary.

As part of the operation, residents can expect to see officers carrying out additional high-visibility patrols, engaging with local businesses and community groups, and taking positive action against those responsible for causing nuisance, disorder, or criminality within the town.
