Trentham and Hanford Newsletter - Criminal damage to garden gate, fly tipping, off road bike seized, e-scooter updates, neighbourhood watch updates and police street surgeries

I hope you all are having a good week. 

Firstly, a couple of updates from last week before I went off for my days off. 

Following reports of anti-social behaviour issues involving off road motorcycles, myself and PCSO colleagues responded and were able to help with the seizing of this off road motorcycle in Bentilee. 

The rider was detained and will be processed for suspected traffic offences. 

E-scooters 

Last week I completed patrols where we have had issues/concerns with person(s) using e-scooters on the roads etc. I did come across a couple of children who had possession of e-scooters and planned to use them on the roads – their parents were contacted and asked to attend and collect the e-scooters and were informed on the law regarding them. If you have an e-scooter, they can only be used on private land, with the owners permission. Appeals – Criminal damage to garden gate -Danebower Rd

We have received a report of criminal damage that was caused to a garden gate on Danebower Road. The incident happened on 05/09/26 between 11am and 17:30 hours, and occurred between the two arrows on this map.

Fly- tipping – Clermont Avenue

I have been made aware that carpets and pallets have been discarded in the vicinity of Clermont Avenue in possibly the last 48 hours. I have been informed that this has been reported to the council.

Neighbourhood Watch

Today (11/09/26) I have delivered 253 Neighbourhood Watch welcome packs to all addresses within the new zone that was recently created. 

The new zone is called ‘Trentley Rd, Allerton Rd, Malvern Cl, Cranbrook Cl, The Meadows, Perthy Gr, Churchill Way, Churchill Ave Neighbourhood Watch and anyone wishing to add their address to this or any of the Neighbourhood Watch zones we have, they can do so by visiting www.ourwatch.org.uk 

Last week I also met with staff from Neighbourhood Watch on the Man In Space car park, where I was able to update them with the work and progress being made in Trentham and Hanford – which continues to really positive.

Police Street Surgeries 

Yesterday (10/09/26) I completed a Police Street surgery at Maitland Gr and today (11/09/26) I completed a surgery at Bainbridge Rd. 

Please note – you are welcome to attend any street surgery, whether you live in the street or not, they are open to everyone to attend.
