Here’s a quick update on personal theft and what’s being done locally to address it. We are aware of residents' concerns regarding recent parcel theft offences in the area.
Following an investigation by officers from a proactive policing team, a suspect was arrested on 7th September 2026 and subsequently charged with multiple parcel theft offences alleged to have taken place between July and September 2026.
The defendant appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 9th September 2026 and was remanded into custody. The case has now been sent to Isleworth Crown Court, where the trial is due to take place on 7th October 2026.
Local Safer Neighbourhood Team officers supported the investigation through local evidence gathering and engagement with residents. We recognise the impact these offences have had on the community and understand the concerns that have been raised.
Investigations of this nature can take time, particularly where officers seek to identify and secure evidence for multiple offences linked to the same suspect. This approach helps ensure the strongest possible case is put before the court and enables the full extent of the alleged offending to be considered within the judicial process.
We would like to thank residents who reported incidents and provided information to officers. Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to provide visible patrols and work with partners and residents to tackle theft and other acquisitive crime in the area.

If you have been a victim, it is important that you report these crimes to us as early as possible, to give us the best chance possible to investigate this fully. These reports help us build a picture of hot spot areas where we can spend more time, deterring and arresting thieves. Remember to: - Be aware of your surroundings – only take out valuables if you feel it’s safe.

- Make sure any bags you have are not left unattended and are closed securely.
