Dear Resident
You are receiving this message as you have registered your faith on this WMNow profile, and therefore may have an interest in this news.
Last week (3 September) Sandwell Police were joined by representatives from the local Hindu community to celebrate Raksha Bandhan at West Bromwich police station.
The community members tied Rakhi to officers and staff in attendance as a symbol of thanks for continued protection and trust.
Officers of all backgrounds available to join were excited to engage with local people, learn more about the Hindu culture, and to continue our hard work building stronger relationships and mutual trust with the communities we serve.
The event also served as a networking opportunity to connect our newly formed Hindu Police Association and force chaplain with community members.
We would like this celebration to serve as a reminder to everyone that Sandwell Police are committed to protecting and serving all communities.
You will see more about how the police are working 24/7 to protect you and your loved ones in neighbourhood WMNow messages. We will also be highlighting some of our partnership working on our Sandwell Police Facebook page.
We thank you for your continued support and pledge that we will continue to work hard to prevent crime and safeguard everyone.
