Hammerton Hall Lane - Prohibition of driving order

Recently, there has been an increase in vehicles using Hammerton Hall Lane as a short-cut between Slyne Road and Barley Cop Lane. Not many people are aware but there is a Prohibition of driving order in place which prohibits vehicles from driving the full length of the road unless for access. There are signs on both ends of the road highlighting this.

Lancashire Police and Lancashire County Council have received a number of complaints in relation to vehicles using Hammerton Hall Lane and often, driving in an anti-social manner which is unacceptable. As a result, we will be conducting enforcement and you may be issued with a fixed penalty notice if you fail to comply with the prohibition.

Please refrain from using the road as a cut through!
