I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle Crime - theft from / theft of, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Good Morning, over the last few weeks we have seen a significant number of theft of items from motor vehicles in the Spalding area. We have received numerous reports of vehicles being entered during the hours of darkness and personal items being stolen from vehicles. Spalding Neighbourhood Policing Team have been investigating these offences and as a result of our work we identified a suspect for several of these thefts and an arrest of an individual was made on the 9th September 2026. A significant amount of property, which we believe may be stolen items, was found at a premises linked to the arrested person and we are now appealing to the Spalding community to ensure that if you have been a victim of a theft from your vehicle within the last month to come forward and report this as we may have recovered property which belongs to you. We will be holding an engagement event between 10am -12 pm on Monday 14th September at the entrance foyer at Spalding Police Station. This event is designed for members of the public to attend and report issues related to these theft from vehicle offences. If you have not reported a crime we will be on hand to take details, and if you are a recent victim of vehicle crime in the local area who has reported this to police we can carry out checks to see if we have any property belonging to yourself. We will also be available to discuss any wider issues you may wish to raise.
