Glossop SNT - Parking/Driving Outside Schools 

We would like to remind parents, guardians of the importance of driving and parking safely and considerately outside schools in our area. 

While it may not always be an offence to park near your local school those who do park there could be committing an offence of causing an obstruction.

This can lead to visibility issues and potential accidents, putting the safety of our community particularly some of the most vulnerable at risk.

We urge those who pick up and drop off children by car at, or near our, local schools to park legally and sensibly, or in designated areas, respecting all pedestrians, parents, residents and those with children including other road users. 

Lets all work together to ensure the safety of our streets and prevent any tragedies from occurring and reduce poor and in-considerate parking/driving. 

Please remember to follow the rules and regulations and always think of others when parking outside schools.
