Burglary Arrest Following Doorstep Gardening Approach

On 09/09/2026 at approximately 10:20am, a burglary was reported on Wigman Road, Nottingham. The incident was reported after the occupant had left their home unattended. It was alleged that, during this time, a male gained entry through a rear bathroom window and stole a quantity of cash.

Following police enquiries, a suspect was quickly identified through similarities in the reported method of operation and officers' local knowledge. The suspect was also reported to have been offering gardening services door-to-door in the area. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary at his home address and taken into police custody.
