Monthly community update from Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Constable Sion Moore – August 2026.
Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. I provide this update to share a roundup of the work that your local Roads Policing Unit have been doing in your area to address your road safety concerns, what’s coming up next month and how we are working with partners to keep our roads safe for those living, working and visiting Carmarthenshire.
From what our communities have told us, we have been focusing on:
Llanelli
Carmarthen
Ammanford
To tackle these issues effectively we have been working with our partners, Local Authority for Carmarthenshire, Local NPPT teams along with Carmarthenshire Response Policing Teams. By working with these partners, we can respond effectively and address community needs.
As a result, your Carmarthenshire Road Policing Unit have;
In addition to the above we have had a number of successful policing operations which have included;
The team have also provided force wide support during August at the National Eisteddfod in Llantwd, the Brecon Jazz Festival, Unity Tour, Pembrokeshire Show and the Green Man Festival – whilst also conducting dedicated drink and drug driving operations in and around the events.
This coming month we will continue to target the issues affecting our communities by participating in the following Road Safety Campaigns;
