Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) engagement event at Marble Arch

Yesterday Officers from Hyde Park Ward  successfully completed a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) engagement event at Marble Arch and was a positive outcome, and welcoming interactions with women and girls in the community.

Officers on duty demonstrated a strong command of safeguarding procedures, these included:

Members of the public engaged openly in discussions, sharing their concerns and explicitly highlighting how visible patrols build vital public trust and reassurance.

In addition to the successful community engagement, the increased police presence directly resulted in operational success: officers proactively identified and arrested an individual wanted for Failing to Appear in Court.
